Alessandra Quigley

I am interested in all things oceanography, but especially extreme events. I’m doing my PhD at Columbia University under the supervision of Anastasia Romanou, and my current project is about marine heatwave-low chlorophyll (MHW-LChl) compound extremes and atmospheric dust. I’m also hoping to look at extreme events before and after climate tipping points, compound marine and terrestrial extreme events, and quantifying the ecosystem impacts of compound and cascading extremes.
